What is the function of resistance introduced by the glaze resistance manufacturer

What is the function of resistance introduced by the glaze resistance manufacturer
Glazed resistor current limiting: To ensure that the current passing through the electrical appliance does not exceed the rated or specified value required for actual operation, and to ensure the normal operation of the appliance, a variable resistor can usually be connected in series in the circuit. When the size of this resistor is changed, the magnitude of the current will also change. We refer to this type of resistor that can limit the amount of current as limiting current.

What are the classifications of glazed resistors?

Resistance is the ability of a substance to block the flow of electrons, and glazed resistance is a device that has a certain resistance to current. For convenience, resistors are commonly referred to as resistors.

Main parameters of glazed resistance nominal parameter content

The number marked on the glazed resistor represents the nominal resistance. Due to specifications, not all resistors can be produced. The resistance value of this resistor is mainly divided into four series according to its accuracy: E-6, E-12, E-24, and E-96.

Application of Glazed Resistors and Capacitors

On the one hand, resistors can act as full frequency filters, and on the other hand, they can reduce the quality factor Q of the circuit. In energy storage circuits, the larger the Q value of the glazed resistor, the smaller the loss, and the stronger the filtering ability for signals in other frequency bands.

What is a water-cooled resistor?

Water-cooled resistors are water-cooled braking resistors, covering braking powers ranging from some kW to many MW. Some of these are required for cranes and major traction braking, which demands high power. They also include cooling methods such as liquid, strong cold air, and natural convection for braking.

Installation and Usage Instructions for Water-cooled Resistors

Installation location. For most water-cooled resistors, there are specific requirements for their installation orientation. Incorrect installation can lead to a decline in the performance of the resistor, or make it unusable, or even damage the equipment. For the SL type high-frequency high-power water-cooled resistor, it should be installed vertically on the installation surface. The cooling water should enter from the lower port and exit from the upper port.

Understand the characteristics of water-cooled resistors

The water-cooled resistor is a resistor that is cooled by forced circulation of ordinary tap water. The inlet water temperature ranges from -40℃ to 60℃. When installing the resistor, it is required that the inlet end of the resistor face downwards and the outlet end upwards. During use, the cooling water should be turned on first, and then the power should be turned on after the water flow reaches the required level and fills the inner cavity of the resistor. When not in use, the power should be cut off first, followed by the water supply to avoid the resistor body from being burned dry and damaged.
